Il richiamo di chat e Facebook sempre pi forte per la generazione dei 'nativi digital. Cos si abbassa l'et di chi si affaccia al mondo dei social network. Intere classi virtuali delle scuole elementari italiane sono ormai ritrovabili in Rete sotto forma di 'grupp. Un segno dei tempi che non manca di destare preoccupazione negli esperti e che spesso motivo di accese discussioni domestiche. Neuropsichiatri e psicologi dell'Ospedale Pediatrico Bambino Ges di Roma si trovano spesso - spiegano in una nota - a dover rispondere alle domande dei genitori preoccupati per i pericoli celati nel web. Mamme e pap vogliono consigli su quali siano le modalit di osservazione, controllo e intervento per impedire ai propri figli brutti incontri in Rete, e brutte esperienze come loro diretta conseguenza. I pericoli di una navigazione in Internet sono numerosi e tutt'altro che trascurabili - ricordano gli esperti - come spesso emerge dai casi di cronaca che vedono i minori oggetto di attenzioni morbose da parte degli adulti o che trovano nella Rete argomenti e percorsi che incidono negativamente sullo sviluppo della loro personalit, che mettono a repentaglio la salute dei pi giovani e talvolta la stessa vita. La tentazione di controllare i figli attraverso i social network per molti genitori quasi irrinunciabile. C' chi attiva il proprio profilo e poi chiede l'amicizia al figlio, chi cerca di utilizzare le chiavi d'accesso al profilo del figlio per conoscere il suo mondo, i suoi contatti, i suoi interessi, raccontano gli esperti. I social network sono una importante e straordinaria opportunit - sottolineano gli esperti del Bambino Ges - e non vanno demonizzati. Ma, come tutti gli strumenti potenti, bisogna saperli maneggiare in modo da non farsi del male. Per un genitore e un figlio - spiegano - i social network altro non sono che la proiezione in Rete della qualit delle relazioni vissute quotidianamente tra le pareti domestiche. Non ci si pu aspettare che un bambino o ancor di pi un adolescente, poco avvezzo a rapportarsi ai genitori in maniera trasparente, accetti di sentirsi osservato attraverso la Rete. Ma esiste un'et minima per attivare un profilo? Qualcosa si muove da parte delle istituzioni e degli stessi sviluppatori dei social network: fra queste, l'attivazione di un tasto segnalazione di abusi di facile uso e immediatamente accessibile, che permetta agli utenti di segnalare con un click contatti o comportamenti inappropriati; la classificazione automatica come 'privat dei profili completi online e degli elenchi di contatti di utenti registrati come minorenni; l'impossibilit di compiere ricerche sui profili privati di utenti minori, su siti Internet o tramite motori di ricerca. Ma questo solo un aspetto della questione. L'altro, e ben pi rilevante, che non c' niente di meno efficace di un divieto, specie per un adolescente. Entrare nel profilo di un figlio come sbirciare nel suo diario segreto - assicurano gli specialisti dell'ospedale pediatrico Bambino Ges - In Rete soprattutto i ragazzi esprimono emozioni, pensieri, gusti, affidando ai social network anche sfoghi personali, ma che, nel proprio immaginario, devono restare preclusi alla sfera dei genitori. Un altro rischio la virtualizzazione del rapporto figlio-genitore - avvertono ancora i neuropsichiatri - in cui si dialoga in rete ma si resta in silenzio a tavola. L'approccio migliore, spiegano, la creazione di una relazione solida tra genitore e figlio, che permetta all'adolescente di affrontare ogni argomento, eventuali ansie, paure e preoccupazioni derivanti da contatti e richieste giunte tramite internet e i social network. Ci significa - aggiungono - instaurare una rapporto di fiducia tra genitore e figlio, che faccia sentire l'adolescente accolto e non giudicato, in modo da consentire anche richieste di aiuto nella consapevolezza di potersi sentire protetto e difeso dai propri genitori. E questo anche se si tratta di dover riferire cose non piacevoli e da cui si viene normalmente messi in guardia.
