A lovely day was had by all... On Saturday 7th August 2010 we performed at the lovely Regency Hotelnear Stoneygate in Leicester for Alice and Sam Timson... and what a lovely day we all had too. Alice and Sam first saw Adam Thomas perform live before the catwalk show at the Sketchley Grange Wedding Fair in October 2009 and, seemingly, that was enough for them to know that they wanted Adam to be a part of their big day. The Day Itself After arriving at the venue we realised that Alice and Sam had thought through every single meticulous detail and everything looked simply stunning: from the flowers to the cake, the dress to the venue itself - beautiful! The Regency is a lovely, quaint, family owned hotel with a great restaurant and truly attentive, dedicated staff. This lovely wedding venue can cater for up to 120 guests. Adam was asked by Alice and Sam if he could learn and perform their first dance live and, as it was to Dean Martin's truly wonderful 'You Belong To Me', how could he say no! (BTW, this is one of the best first dance songs we have heard. Good old fashioned romance for once!) "Adam Thomas to the stage..." The new Mr and Mrs Timson booked Adam to perform hisSolo Showfor theirWedding Entertainmentand theyoptedto include ourWedding Discotoo. Adam performed all of his usual crowd pleasing favourites including'Haven't Met You Yet,' 'That's Amore,' 'Ain't That A Kick In The Head'andMichael Buble's'Everything'was thebride and groom's second dance(accompanied by the remainder of the wedding party).Swing and Big Bandfirst half over - phew! Act Two got the party into full swingas Adam kept them all going with a blend ofSoul, Indie and Poptracks such as'Everybody Needs Somebody,' 'Chelsea Dagger,' 'Mr Brightside'and'Valerie.'As we've said before, Adam's renditions ofPaolo Nutini's 'Pencil Full Of Lead'and'10/10'have really proven to be massive hits with all of his audiences this summer: they fill the dance floor every time! Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz exchanged their wedding vows on Saturday night in an intimate ceremony.
