Serien hette frst under en tid "Midland", men d de vl brjade p att spela in serien bestmde de sig slutligen fr "Lone Star". Hursomhelst, serien skapades av Kyle Killen och denne frfattare r hyggligt ny i gamet. "Lone Star" r nmligen hans debut och han har inte bara skapat serien, utan han har ven skrivit en del avsnitt till den. Killen r ven manusfrfattare till Jodie Fosters kommande film "The Beaver" som har bde henne och Mel Gibson i huvudrollerna, men annars s str det faktiskt inte mycket mer av intresse i hans korta CV. Pilotavsnittet har regisserats av ingen mindre n Marc Webb ("500 Days of Summer" och kommande "Spider-Man" ) och huruvida han kommer att st som regissr fr fler avsnitt av "Lone Star" r fr tillfllet oknt. Handlingen i Lonestar kretsar kring Robert Allen, spelad av James Wolk, en bedragare ifrn Texas som lever ett minst sagt invecklat dubbelliv. Som Bob s r han gift med en kvinna som heter Cat ( Adrianne Palicki ) och bor tillsammans med henne i Houston dr han jobbar fr sin svrfar Clint Thatcher ( Jon Voight ) som r en stor och respekterad oljemagnat. Ett par tre hundra mil drifrn s har han ett andra liv dr han kallar sig fr Robert. Som Robert r han tillsammans med sin flickvn Lindsay ( Eloise Mumford ) och lever ett helt annat liv. Robert Allens ml r att f mer och mer kontroll ver oljeaffrerna, men dubbellivet har brjat p att tra och krleken till de bda kvinnorna blir allt svrare fr honom att hlla isr. Med tiden s brjar allt bli mycket mer komplicerat och det brjar bli allt tuffare fr honom att hlla allt frn att rasa samman. I vriga roller s ser vi bl.a David Keith som John Allen och p senare tid s har det ven rapporterats om att Andie MacDowell har tilldelats en terkommande roll. Hittills finns endast ngra f recensioner av serien, bl.a frn Metacritic och dr r de minst sagt positiva till serien. Dr kallar de pilotavsnittet fr det bsta fr ssongen och om inte det bsta s vldigt vldigt nra och nmner ocks att Lonestar r mycket originell och att det inte finns ngon annan serie dr ute som r lik den.Lonestar kommer att sndas p FoxX och har premir mndagen den 20:e september. Vilken svensk kanal som kommer att kpa in serien ( om nu ngon gr det, men det r nog ganska skert ) terstr att se.
