T-Mobile is calling it "the fastest smartphone experience in America," but as it turns out, its Qualcomm Scorpion CPU is actually relatively slow -- the cellular carrier's insider newsletter T-Mobile Scoop says the phone's MSM7x30 chip will be clocked at 800MHz, rather than the 1GHz we'd hoped for. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean that T-Mobile lying about speed, as anyone who's upgraded from Droid to Droid 2 very well knows -- bloatware can easily clog the pipes even on phones running Froyo, and we've heard that this particular HTC device is running a pure vanilla Android build. Speaking of delectable operating system revisions, T-Mobile confirms you'll indeed find Android 2.2 under the hood accompanied by Flash Player 10.1, as well as "one-touch quick keys" the carrier claims provide Speedy Gonzales-like access to apps and shortcuts. Still waiting to be confirmed: a $200 subsidized price, and the day we'll see it in stores. Procter & Gamble has announced its first zero-waste-to-landfill manufacturing plant in North America in the latest move towards its goal of becoming a zero-waste company. The company has already achieved zero-waste status for eight manufacturing facilities in other regions, including Belgium and the U.K., but the Maine plant represents the first U.S. facility to embrace the model.

This week marked the release of the fan film The Fighting Avenger. Made by Wayside Creations, the same team behind Fallout: Nuka Break, the short film looks at Cap through the eyes of a squad of American G.I.s in desperate need of a heroic rescue during a battle of World War II.

Today, T-Mobile USA announced the continued expansion of its nationwide 4G mobile broadband network to 10 new markets. America’s Largest 4G Network now reaches 167 markets and more than 200 million people nationwide – offering a 4G experience to even more of its customers where they live, work and play.

T-Mobile on Wednesday announced that it has doubled the theoretical download speed ceiling on its 4G HSPA+ network in 56 new markets. “America’s Largest 4G Network is now faster than ever and continues to deliver a fast and reliable broadband experience in more places than any other carrier,” said T-Mobile CTO Neville Ray in a statement.
