Conover’s inspiration for many of her paintings comes from her love of watching masses of people. Growing up in New York City, Conover spent many hours enjoying the sunshine and scenic views of the Manhattan Skyline. With the Empire State Building, World Trade Center, and Flat Iron as backdrop, Conover’s paintings were inspired by the beautiful and yet gritty structures that dominate the city. She possesses an intimate relationship with urban life that is evident in all her work: its severity and beauty, its neatly defined forms and concepts, and its natural complexities.

I’ve been avoiding it for years but I finally forced myself to do the hardest thing… CLEAN MY CLOSET. Now that I’ve gone through everything I’m selling some of the pieces of found tucked away. Some of this stuff I forgot I even owned.

After the Lloyds divorced in 1948, the former Rachel Lambert wed Paul Mellon, to become Rachel Lambert Mellon stepmother to Timothy Mellon and Catherine M. Conover Mellon. Together, the couple became avid art collectors, acquiring more than 1,000 American and French masterpieces. The Mellons donated many pieces of artwork to the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., for which they also provided funds to build the East and West wings of the gallery.

Mellon has achieved fame not only in her professional career but in her personal life as well. Dubbed as one of London’s “It” girls in the 1990s, she has had a string of high-profile relationships with famous men including singer Kid Rock, actor Christian Slater, and banking heir Matthew Mellon III, whom she wed in 2000 and with whom she has a daughter, nine-year-old Araminta “Minty” Mellon. The recent absence of post this weekend was because of this game, rented it and loved it so I had to play to finish at least one game ( no easy feat for this game ) so now that I finished one of the ending I'm going to review it.
