An Introduction to The Howard Stern Show
One extremely popular radio shows in the 1980s up until recently has been the Howard Stern Show. it is a show that is hosted by Howard Stern, an American radio personality, on Sirius XM, which is a subscription satellite radio service. the show began back in 1979 (two years after he had began his professional career) on terrestrial radio, where Stern had hosted the morning show at WCCC at Hartford, Connectifuct. the popularity of his morning shows had received many audiences in 1980 when he joined WWWW at Detroit, Michigan. then, in 1981, he teamed up with news anchor Robin Quivers at WWDC, Washington D.C., which made them a successful pair even up to today. Yet, he came back into spotlight when he joined WXRK, in which he stayed with for the next 20 years. within those years, the Howard Stern Show was syndicated throughout the United States and Canada, garnering up to 20 million audiences. In 2004, Stern announced to Sirius that on December 16, 2005, that will be the last broadcast on 'free' radio. The Howard Stern Show was one of the most controversial shows around, which was not surprising when their radio station owners received fines up to $2.5 million for hosting the show which was considered by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to use indecent material. Yet, Stern, who is labeled as shock jock is well-recognized and enjoyed by audiences for his frank personality, leading to the success of the show. Some of the frequent guests of the show include Patrice Oneal, Chaunce Hayden, Adam Carolla, as well as many other celebrities. the Wack Pack of the show, whom are rather unusual and over-the-top personalities like Beetlejuice, Evil Dave Letterman, and big Foot, are one of the things that makes the show interesting. One of the frequent Wack Packer is Elliot Offen
