Pathetic but not surprising is how I would describe Herman Cain’s latest ‘oops’ moment. So blatantly ignorant was Cain’s inability to respond directly to a question on Libya – as current a major event as is out there – that if this doesn’t end his presidential run, I’m not sure what will. Conservative media is turning against him (“Cain makes Rick Perry look like a Mensa president“), while diehard fans point fingers at the usual bogeymen and in the process prove once more that stupid is never pretty.

Republican Presidential candidate Herman Cain told Chris Wallace that Americans should be able to ban Muslims from building mosques in their communities. One would speculate in this case, that a community in turn should be able to ban any church from their community — but no, he’s focused on the Muslim faith without utilizing consequential behavior. Cain insists he’s not discriminating against the Muslim faith — he also believes he has solid reasoning behind his view.

Newly minted GOP frontrunner Herman Cain acknowledged his long relationship with the conservative billionaire industrialist brothers Charles and David Koch yesterday. Cain has “close” and “long ties” to the Koch Brothers, as the AP reported this week, likely making him the conservative political duo’s “favorite presidential candidate,” as ThinkProgress has noted.

I’m not an economist, but I’ve had plenty of experience paying taxes—and using an accountant to decipher the fine part in the IRS code that redounds to my advantage—and I’d gladly give up deductions and loopholes for a vastly simpler system. Such as: a 24 percent flat tax for everyone, with the only exemptions made for families whose annual income is $30,000 or less and individuals who pull down less than $25,000. I don’t like Cain’s nine percent national sales tax, which at the peril of being misrepresented as a liberal, is regressive and would unfairly burden those Americans who don’t make much money.

Herman Cain stated “I’m 100% Pro-Life” on his Twitter, but if he is 100% Pro Life, why doesn’t the woman’s life matter or the lives of the children.

“I’m simply saying I owe it to the American people to be cautious because terrorists are trying to kill us,” he added. “And so yes I’m going to err on the side of caution rather than on the side of carelessness.”

Like his candidacy, it’s a disappointment. "I have been asked repeatedly for the last several weeks and couple of months, who am I going to endorse? Here is my endorsement: not a candidate seeking the nomination, not someone that’s not running. My unconventional endorsement is: the people.. . That’s who I’m endorsing." And by “the people,” Cain meant himself.

There’s a line up of candidates trying to obtain the GOP nomination; Mitt Romney, Michele Bachmann, Sarah ‘maybe I’m runnin,’ maybe not’ Palin (we’ll have to see on that one), Newt ‘my staffers left me’ Gingrich and Herman ‘Don’t make me read’ Cain. But, Democrats have their own crazy card, Randall Terry — running as a Democrat against Obama....

Herman, I was rooting for you. I was hoping you could tough it out in Tombstone territory. But you couldn’t pull it off. I’m sticking a fork in you, Herman, you’re done. Goodbye, Herman. We’ll miss you when you’re gone. I know, you said “it ain’t gonna happen.” But you also said, “There will probably be others.” One or two more will be all it takes.
