Dumbledore comes to Doctor Who, X-Men prequel finds young Beast and Banshee, and Batman 3 gets a start date [Morning Spoilers]
New plot details for Simon Pegg's alien comedy Paul! Doctor Who's Christmas episode adds some stars! Christopher Nolan discusses Inception's philosophical and cinematic undertones. Set-pics reveal more about Transformers 3. X-Men prequel casting becomes official! Will Edward Norton join Avengers? Inception: Christopher Nolan says the film is very much his attempt to do a James Bond film, and the film's heist and action elements take inspiration from his favorite Bond films. Speaking of which, if MGM can ever sort out what the hell they're doing with that franchise, he'd love to direct a Bond movie himself. [/Film] When asked about the movie's central ideas, Ellen Page got a little philosophical (although in a charming, non-pretentious sort of way): Q: It seems to me the film's core is the notion that thoughts can transform and even destroy you. A: And they can perpetuate our personal suffering. And the elusiveness of all love. Sure, shooting this movie made me think more about my dreams. But what "Inception" made me think of more, especially because of books I was reading at the time, is my awake world and the elusiveness of all life. My own, individual perspective and the thoughts I'm creating for myself. Definitely a bit of an existential-crisis-esque time, but I'm in my early 20s, so ... (laughs) [SFGate] Transformers 3: Here are a bunch of set photos from the first day of filming in Chicago, including two of Tyrese Gibson in his new NEST uniform: [TFLAMB] And here's a set video: [Screen Rant]&hl;&fs;&fmt; Finally, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura says that he expects this to be the last movie in the franchise. Even if Paramount and Hasbro decide they want to do a Transformers 4, it almost certainly won't involve him or Michael Bay. But how could they possibly make a Transformers movie without the franchise's tender artistic soul!? [IGN] Avatar 2: Although Sam Worthington knows what's going on with Clash of the Titans 2 - it shoots next year in 3D and he's set to return as Perseus - he can't say much about his other blockbuster sequel. He's definitely returning, but he says nothing is happening right now because James Cameron is busy with other things and hasn't started writing it yet. [CinemaBlend] Paul: The sci-fi comedy starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Seth Rogen as an alien has an official synopsis: Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) reunite for the comedy adventure Paul as two sci-fi geeks whose pilgrimage takes them to America's UFO heartland. While there, they accidentally meet an alien who brings them on an insane road trip that alters their universe forever. For the past 60 years, an alien named Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen) has been hanging out at a top-secret military base. For reasons unknown, the space-travelling smart ass decides to escape the compound and hop on the first vehicle out of town-a rented RV containing Earthlings Graeme Willy (Pegg) and Clive Collings (Frost). Chased by federal agents and the fanatical father of a young woman that they accidentally kidnap, Graeme and Clive hatch a fumbling escape plan to return Paul to his mother ship. And as two nerds struggle to help, one little green man might just take his fellow outcasts from misfits to intergalactic heroes. Paul is directed by Superbad's Greg Mottola, from a story by Pegg & Frost. Joining the comedy's cast are Jason Bateman, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, Blythe Danner, Joe Lo Truglio, John Carroll Lynch, David Koechner and Sigourney Weaver. [Working Title Films] X-Men - First Class: This took a while to become official, but now Nicholas Hoult is definitely taking over as Beast and Caleb Landry Jones is definitely playing Banshee. It sounds as though Lucas Till is this close to officially playing Havok (or whichever character Havok is a smokescreen for), but that's not a done deal yet. [Variety] The Avengers: It was already pretty much official that Edward Norton wouldn't be reprising his role as Bruce Banner for The Avengers, but now consider it doubly super ultra official. Writing the sort of angry letter most people only associate with owners of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Norton's agent had some choice words for Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige: This offensive statement from Kevin Feige at Marvel is a purposefully misleading, inappropriate attempt to paint our client in a negative light. Here are the facts: two months ago, Kevin called me and said he wanted Edward to reprise the role of Bruce Banner in The Avengers. He told me it would be his fantasy to bring Edward on stage with the rest of the cast at ComiCon and make it the event of the convention. When I said that Edward was definitely open to this idea, Kevin was very excited and we agreed that Edward should meet with Joss Whedon to discuss the project. Edward and Joss had a very good meeting (confirmed by Feige to me) at which Edward said he was enthusiastic at the prospect of being a part of the ensemble cast. Marvel subsequently made him a financial offer to be in the film and both sides started negotiating in good faith. This past Wednesday, after several weeks of civil, uncontentious discussions, but before we had come to terms on a deal, a representative from Marvel called to say they had decided to go in another direction with the part. This seemed to us to be a financial decision but, whatever the case, it is completely their prerogative, and we accepted their decision with no hard feelings. We know a lot of fans have voiced their public disappointment with this result, but this is no excuse for Feige's mean spirited, accusatory comments. Counter to what Kevin implies here, Edward was looking forward to the opportunity to work with Joss and the other actors in the Avengers cast, many of whom are personal friends of his. Feige's statement is unprofessional, disingenuous and clearly defamatory. Mr. Norton talent, tireless work ethic and professional integrity deserve more respect, and so do Marvel's fans. Brian Swardstrom WME [Hitflix] Batman 3: Once again, Michael Caine proves very helpful in telling us something anything about the next movie. At the Inception premiere, he said he expects the movie to start filming next April, although he still doesn't know whether Alfred will actually return for the third film. [Digital Spy] Green Lantern: A local New Orleans news crew got to visit the set. They didn't see anything too fascinating, but feel free to glean whatever details and clues you can: [ABC 26 New Orleans via CinemaBlend] Superman Reboot: That rumor we told you on Friday about Chris Columbus directing the movie is still making the rounds, but now another trusted source has stepped forward to say it's completely false. It's basically the word of one anonymous source vs. another's at this point, but I'd say Chris Columbus not directing the movie is a hell of a lot more plausible. [Collider] Twilight - Breaking Dawn: Locations have been chosen for the absolutely batshit insane, two-part finale to the Twilight saga. Director Bill Condon will be shooting the film's two installments in Baton Rouge and Vancouver starting this fall. [IGN] Contagion: Steven Spielberg's 3D movie about a viral outbreak has added Laurence Fishburne to the cast. He's definitely playing a doctor, and according to the ever-reliable IMDB, his name is Dr. Ellis Cheever. The cast already includes Matt Damon, Jude Law, Marion Cotillard, Kate Winslet, and Gwyneth Paltrow, so it's not exactly starved for starpower. [Variety] Luke Cage: This is all strictly wishful thinking at this point, but Isaiah Mustafa, the ultra-cool star of those Old Spice commercials where he is, among other things, on a horse, said on Attack of the Show that his dream role would be to play Luke Cage. A few days later, he actually visited Marvel headquarters for what he initially described on his Twitter as a "meet and greet" and later explained was just an opportunity to geek out. Still, there just might be a little smoke to this rumor, though definitely no fire...yet. [CinemaBlend] Doctor Who: A bit of exciting casting news for the show's big Christmas episode, filming soon. Michael Gambon, better known as Dumbledore in the most recent Harry Potter films, will have a major guest-starring role. Also joining the "most Christmassy" Christmas special ever is super-popular Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins, who's sold millions of pop-tinged classical albums in the U.K. A lot is riding on this episode, since Steven Moffat wants to duplicate the stratospheric ratings successes of "Voyage Of The Damned" and last year's "The End Of Time, part 1." [Guardian] Fringe: The Wire's Andre Royo has reportedly been cast as a taxi driver who gets into a tense situation with Olivia in the season premiere. It's not clear whether his scenes will be with our Olivia or the alternate Olivia. [Ausiello Files] True Blood: Joe Manganiello talked about his role as Alcide. He says Sookie and Alcide are both in incredibly vulnerable places, and when you've got "this big, strong, protective bodyguard with a girl, both heartbroken," it's hardly surprising if something happens. He and Debbie have a very volatile relationship, but his time with Sookie changes him and he reassesses what he wants from women. His favorite episode is the seventh, because "there's a lot of blood and a lot of people die." We will learn a lot more about his people and where Sookie comes from, and the third-season cliffhanger is even more insane than that of previous seasons. They will answer a bunch of questions and in doing so, open up a whole new universe for the characters. [NY Post] Meanwhile, Brit Morgan discussed her turn as Debbie Van Pelt. She describes her character as "a really kick-ass, passionate, ballsy woman. I'm a werewolf with a bit of an addiction to V, so I'm going on a rampage against Sookie. I'm not too happy with her. My character just takes this winding road, a bit of a downward spiral. I'm definitely in attack mode towards Sookie." Her main interactions this season are with Sookie, although she does spend some time with Eric, Bill, and Lorena, plus quite a bit of screentime with Russell, the vampire king of Mississippi. [TV Guide] Supernatural: A couple bits of cool casting news. First season baddie Azazel will return to the show, according to the man who has played him most often, Fred Lehne. He says he starts work July 14, when they go to work on the season premiere. Meanwhile, Corin Nemec may have been cast in a recurring role as Christian Campbell, the cousin of the Winchesters, according to a tweet by Jennifer dela Luna. It's not immediately clear how Ms. dela Luna would know this information, but it also seems a really weird thing to make up. Probably best to consider it unconfirmed for now. Apparently you can see Mark Sheppard in one of the shots: [Supernatural Locations] Futurama: Here's a sneak peek from the next episode, "The Duh Vinci Code." Brits Dominate BAFTA’s Orange Rising Star Longlist
The longlist for BAFTA’s 2012 Orange Rising Star Award has been announced. The group is made up of 4 Brits, 2 Americans, an Irishman and an Aussie who are seen as the hottest up-and-comers of the year – though some of them are so high-profile already, it’s hard to think of them as newbies. On the list are: Thor stars Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston, Like Crazy ‘s Felicity Jones, My Week With Marilyn ‘s Eddie Redmayne, Bridesmaids ‘ Chris O’Dowd, last year’s Best Actress Oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence, Tree Of Life ‘s Jessica Chastain and actor/rapper Adam Deacon, who’s mostly known to UK auds for pics like Kidulthood , Adulthood and Anuvahood . A judging panel that includes Sienna Miller, Simon Pegg and Harry Potter director David Yates came up with the initial group while the British public will vote to whittle the list down to 5 finalists who’ll be announced Jan 11. Another vote will follow with the winner announced at the BAFTA ceremony on Feb 12. The special prize has previously gone to the likes of Tom Hardy, Kristen Stewart, Shia LaBeouf and James McAvoy.
12 Sexiest Pool Scenes in Movie History
12 Sexiest Pool Scenes in Movie History What is it about a swimming pool that makes the moderately-sexy so much sexier? Is it because when youre swimming youre half-naked, and when youre half-naked youre already half-way to sex? Whatever the reason, Hollywood has long had a love affair with sex and pools. Hot tub lovin, teen pool party angst, late night skinny-dipping there are any number of opportunities to add a sexy swim into a story. Take the case of KoldCast TVs teen drama series Palisades Pool Party for instance. The Show is all about the drama that unfolds on the day of an elite pool party where anything goes. All said, in memory of Summer 2010, were going to take a dip into 12 of the sexiest pool scenes in movie history. Palisades Pool Party, Episode 1: Sex with Neighbor Boy 1. Phoebe Cates Emerges From The Pool in Fast Times at Ridgemont High 1982s Fast Times at Ridgemont High is undoubtedly one of the most revered coming-of-age teen comedies ever put to film; and for the most part it deserves the accolades. The film follows the lives of several students at the fictional Ridgemont High over the course of one academic year. Judge Reinhold spends the entire film trying to figure out how to end a long-time relationship. Jennifer Jason Leigh loses her virginity. And habitual stoner, Sean Penn, goes one-on-one with the nefarious Mr. Hand. However, of all the memorable moments in this extremely memorable movie, one stands above the rest. It involves the bite-your-knuckles-sexy Phoebe Cates, a swimming pool, and a disappearing bikini top. 2. Denise Richards and Neve Campbell Make Out in Wild Things 1998s John McNaughton-directed Wild Things is a mostly-forgettable thriller about a high school guidance counselor, played by Matt Dillon, whose life is turned upside down when hes accused of raping two students. In truth though, no one cared about the plot in 1998, and no one cares about it today. Wild Things was famous when it was released, and has endured to this day for a single reason the hot, hot, lesbian sex. Denise Richards and Neve Campbell swap spit on more than a few occasions over the course of the film, get themselves involved in a three-way, and even decide to delve into some heavy petting in a swimming pool. 3. Jessica Biel Flashes Her Headlights in Summer Catch Its unlikely that most people have ever even heard of the 2001 romantic comedy Summer Catch. The film stars Freddie Prinze Jr. as a local baseball prospect who gets an opportunity to play in the Cape Cod Baseball League while dreaming of one day earning his shot in the major leagues. He falls in love with a girl whose family is vacationing in the area, and thats pretty much it. Its a crummy flick, except for the fact that Jessica Biel spends a fair amount of time in the movie in various states of undress. During one scene she struts around in a very Phoebe Cates-esque bikini, and in another scene she strips down to her panties in the rain and decides to go for a swim. 4. Christie Brinkley Goes Skinny Dipping in National Lampoons Vacation During the 1980s, supermodel Christie Brinkley was sexy incarnate, and her appearance in the 1982 Chevy Chase vehicle National Lampoons Vacation only added to the overall mystique. In the film, Chevy stars as a food additive researcher, named Clark Griswold, who takes his family on a cross-country vacation to Americas Favorite Family Fun Park, Wally World. After a series of on-road flirtations, Christie drops her panties, hops in the pool at Clarks hotel, and coaxes him to join her. Anyone that can make a scene with Chevy Chase even remotely sexy deserves a nod for a job well done. 5. Marilyn Monroe Giggles Playfully in Somethings Got to Give Somethings Got to Give is a film from 1962 that was directed by George Cukor and starred Marilyn Monroe, Dean Martin and Cyd Charisse. If youve never heard of it dont feel bad, because it was never actually finished. Marilyns various personal problems proved too much of a headache for the producers, and she was fired early on in the production. After her death on August 5th 1962, the project was abandoned completely. Reconstructed for the 1990 documentary Marilyn: Somethings Got to Give, the films infamous skinny dipping scene features a naked and beyond-words-sexy Marilyn Monroe giggling poolside before hopping on the deck and wrapping herself in a towel. Its good stuff. Palisades Pool Party, Episode 2: Im Out of Her Top 8 6. Megan Fox Gets Wet in How to Lose Friends and Alienate People Based upon British writer Toby Youngs memoir of the same name, 2008s How to Lose Friends and Alienate People is a mostly mediocre film that stars Simon Pegg as a smalltime, aspiring British journalist who struggles to make sense of his position at a high profile magazine in New York. The vast majority of the movie is anything but sexy. That is of course, until the eternally enticing Megan Fox decides to drop fully clothed into a pool during a glitzy, high fashion get-together. Theres absolutely nothing wrong with a soaking wet Megan Fox. Nothing at all. Ever. 7. Kristy Swanson and Brandy Ledford Make Out in Zebra Lounge Kristy Swanson in a movie about swingers. In my book thats a winning combination. Released in 2001, the erotic thriller Zebra Lounge stars the equally-lovely Brandy Ledford and her husband Daniel Magder as a couple stuck in a marital rut who decide the only way out is to answer an ad in a swingers magazine. They meet a pair of experienced swingers played by Kristy Swanson and Stephen Baldwin who show them the ins and outs (literally) of extramarital getting-it-on. At one point, Kristy and Brandy find themselves together in a pool, hands start roaming, lips begin touching, and the action comes fast and furious. 8. Michael J. Fox Has Sex With His Aunt in The Secret of My Success The Secret of My Success is an underrated little comedy from way back in 1987 that stars Michael J. Fox as a small town college graduate who moves to New York City where hes landed a job as a financier. Upon arriving, he discovers the company hes supposed to work for has been taken over by a rival, which in turn has left him jobless. With no other options, he decides to take a position in the mailroom of the company owned by his uncle. It doesnt take him long to realize that his new position affords him certain unexpected perks like boning his aunt for example. 9. Kari Wurher Goes for a Swim in Poison 2000s Poison (aka Thy Neighbors Wife) is a pretty terrible movie. Theres no denying it. Its awful. In the midst of all the dumbness and the shoddy acting, however, there is the sexy Kari Wurher. Kari stars as a vengeful wife who incorporates herself into an unsuspecting family who she blames for her husbands suicide. Her endgame is, of course, to make them pay. While working as the familys housekeeper, Kari uses everything she has (including the image of her soaking wet body during a late night swim) to break the family apart from the inside out. 10. Swimming Pool Pretty Much the Entire Movie The 2003 British/French thriller Swimming Pool is basically ninety-four minutes of sexy pool scenes, and every one of them features the pant-like-a-dog attractive Ludivine Sagnier. In the film, a famous British mystery author played by Charlotte Rampling heads to the south of France in hopes of finding some inspiration for her next work. Things seem to be going all right until her publishers daughter, Ludivine, arrives on her doorstep, bringing with her a penchant for mystery and a whole lot of sex. Theres no point in trying to pick out a single sexy scene from this movie. Its filled with them. 11. Erika Christensen Has a Little Make-Out Session in Swimfan The 2002 erotic thriller Swimfan stars Erika Christensen as a seemingly innocent girl that becomes obsessed with a boy named Ben, who also happens to be the hard-bodied star swimmer at her high school. As you might have already guessed, Erika isnt as innocent as were originally lead to believe, and before you know it, dead bodies are popping up everywhere, and Ben finds himself fighting for his life. While the overall film has a bit of a been there, done that feel to it, the sexiness and deviousness of Christensen does a fine job of covering up all those pesky plot holes. 12. Faye Dunaway Eats Some Grapes in The Arrangement Released in 1969, directed by Elia Kazan, and based on his novel of the same name, The Arrangement tells the story of a successful advertising executive played by Kirk Douglas who is bored with his marriage and decides to spice it up with an affair. The woman he chooses to sleep around with is a co-worker played by a very young, and very sexy Faye Dunaway. At one point in the film Kirk Douglas lies beside the pool, dangles some grapes, and the lovely Faye comes up for a nibble. Palisades Pool Party, Episode 3: Heroin Kills People Palisades Pool Party, Episode 4: Dirty Little Secrets Steven Novak is a writer, illustrator, graphic designer and admitted lifelong nerd with an embarrassingly large DVD collection. He is currently working and living in the Southern California desert. His most recent fantasy/action adventure novel, Forts: Fathers and Sons, is available everywhere books are sold.

Google Instant blacklist what they dont want you to see
It seems that there are certain things Google does not want to serve you instant results about, quite a few in fact. The folks over at 2600.com have compiled a master list of blacklisted search queries that will not generate any instant search results. Much of the list is stuff you would expect to get nipped in the bud, and others are a little more surprising. For example, anything with a negative connotation is blacklisted, including queries involving the word evil. The list is constantly being updated, so be sure to check out the original page here for the latest queries. WARNING: the list below is not really suitable for a work environment, so proceed with caution.
