Kittinger Jr. jumped from an open gondola wearing a pressurized suit, 102,800 feet over Tularosa, N.M., and landed unharmed 13 minutes, 45 seconds later as part of Project Excelsior. When I was younger I played, the lead, "George Washington" in a musical about the American Revolution called "Let George Do It". Later I performed with a Mixed Ensemble from northern California. One of the standout moments was performing at Disneyland's Carnation Pavilion for their 25th anniversary. We also performed at Harrah's, in Reno, Nevada where we received a standing ovation at a jazz competition.
